Live Stream Tally Privacy Statement

1. Introduction

Live Stream Tally lets you monitor a YouTube channel’s “on-air” status and emit an NDI® video and tally signal. We respect your privacy and only collect or store what’s strictly necessary to make the app work.

2. Data You Provide

YouTube API Key (required)
- You paste in your own key from Google’s Developer Console.
- Why: We need it to call the YouTube Data API v3 and check live status.
YouTube Channel ID (required)
- The channel you want to monitor.

3. What We Store Locally

YouTube API Key
- Stored securely in your macOS Keychain via the app’s sandboxed keychain-access group.
- Remains on your device and is not transmitted except in API calls directly to YouTube.
YouTube Channel ID
- Stored in standard macOS preferences.
- Remains on your device and is not transmitted except in API calls directly to YouTube.

4. What We Don’t Collect or Track

No usage analytics (e.g. no Google Analytics, no crash reporting).
No personal data (names, emails, IP addresses).
No telemetry - your watching habits and channel choices never leave your machine except to call the YouTube API.

5. YouTube Data API Calls

All live-status queries go directly from your computer to Google’s YouTube Data API.
We do not proxy or log those requests at any point.

6. Third-Party Privacy Policies

7. Security

We use Apple’s Keychain Services to securely store your API key.
The app is sandboxed and code-signed with hardened runtime to prevent tampering.

8. Children

Live Stream Tally is a utility application intended for general audiences. As stated throughout this privacy policy, we do not collect any personal information from any users regardless of age.
